ABOUT ZORO'S ENERGY

Abia State Deep Sea Port Enterprise Limited (ADSPEL) is the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) which was awarded the Concession Agreement for development and operations of the Obeaku Deep Sea Port by the Nigerian Ports Authority. ADSPEL is required to develop, build and operate a common user, multipurpose port under the concession and has the right to sub-concession terminal operations to other companies. ADSPEL is a joint venture enterprise owned by a group of investors led by the Zoros Group, the Abia State Government and the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA). ADSPEL is registered with Abia State Government and has the license to operate in Ukwa East L.G.A. This opens a whole host of benefits for Obeaku Port in terms of taxes, duties and other incentives.

ABOUT OBEAKU CITY PORT

Obeaku City Port is located in Obeaku City in Ukwa East L.G.A of Abia State Nigeria. The port have a land capacity of 10,000 Hectares (160,000 plots) of land. The Modern Deep Sea Port is highly powered by Zoros Energy Limited a subsidiary of Zoros Group and have equiped the port with other auxiliary facilities like: A 4 Star Hotel, Refinery, Mega City and an Ultra Modern State of Art Hospital including Schools, Fire and Police Station etc.
Obeaku City Port is being developed as a multi-product and logistics hub for the entire West African Region. Strategically located 65km east of Aba a popular trade city, the zone is well connected by road, sea and by air. When fully developed, it will be spread over an area of 2000 hectares and will house petroleum and petrochemical complexes, agri-commodity, other manufacturing industries and many auxiliary facilities.

Port Management

Our Port activities covers a wide range of functions. For Instance Maritime access which involves activities such as:
The dradging of access channels, the construction of breakwaters(if required), the setting of vessel traffic services to help navigation to approach and navigate within the port as well as buoys and other navigation aids.
All these activities fall under different branches. Zoros Infrastructure investment and development are usually done by port authorities while superstructure investment are done by terminal operators, many of which are private companies leasing the terminal.
All these activities are necessary for the planning, development and operation of our port and are part of it's incured cost.

Port Superstructure

Our Deep Sea port from its nomenclature is different from the regular ports in respect of the depth of water. Our port is usually an area or plateform entered into from the sea, by vessels, boats, ships, which also allows for protected staging and anchoring or docking for these ships to load and unload consignments and continue up towards its destination.
However our deep sea port is usually made up for the usage of very large and heavily loaded ships. The depth of the water helps get them access to the deepwater ports. Our deep water port is compactible with the large heavy loaded ships which is above 30 feet deep and is able to accommodate a fully laden Panamax ship, which is determined principally by the dimensions of the Panama Canal's Lock Chamber
