Contact UsOur Abia refinery upon completion will be one of the largest in west Africa with a crude oil refining capacity of 2000,000 barrels per calendar day (bpcd). The Zoros refinery processes sweet and heavy sour crude oils into gasoline, distillates, asphalt, fuel-grade coke, chemical-grade propylene, propane and slurry. Products are distributed via pipeline, transport truck, rail and barge. In 2020, MPC completed the Zoros Heavy Oil Upgrade Project (ZHOUP), which enabled the refinery to process up to an additional 80,000 bpcd of heavy sour crude oils, including Canadian crude oils. Through a property purchase program, Zoros Energy purchased many of the residential properties in a neighborhood adjacent to the refinery and maintains the area as a green space available for public use.
Below is a list of accolades and accomplishments that we've earned at our Zoros.
